moving in with your goals

I know it's been almost a month since I've posted, but definitely not for lack of things to say. I've been in the midst of new work and a big move, literally and figuratively, to the great city of Austin, Texas. I say figuratively because of the fact that this move was not only physical, but emotional as well. It was the last time (fingers crossed) that I will have moved from home; away from my hometown, close friends, and my awesome country family and homestead to which I re-visited after college for 6 months. It was also a big spiritual move, seeing as I haven't been attending church regularly for the past, oh I don't know, 8 years? And there just happens to be my favorite church (the Austin Stone) right here close by, offering community with awesome people and helpful Bible studies. This move is also a learning experience, being that I've never had more than one roommate, never shared a bathroom, and have lived alone for the past two years almost. I'm very excited to share a living experience with two fairly new friends, and learn all the little lessons that accompany!

So it's safe to say I'm happy about where I am, and I feel it's where I should be in this moment to inch closer to my goals, whether they happen in the next few weeks or next few years. I think this is a really important yet lacking concept in people's minds. People are so unsure if they are in the right place because it doesn't seem at that very instant that they are gaining momentum to their dreams. This causes confusion and uneasiness. What I've started to realize is that every chapter to the story is imperative for the conclusion, and if you have reached your goals and stopped, then your not dreaming anymore. And if you haven't, then you aren't ready. Trust me, it benefits you to believe that you are where you should be, and if your supposed to be somewhere else, you'll get there. It gives you peace and patience in your life - leading to endurance, which I think we can agree we all need.

All of this to say, I have been busy doing a lot of thinking, moving and organizing, and this blog is soon to blossom and grow with great information and learning, both on your part and mine! I will more than likely do a series of blog posts on the stress-free sequence of events that should take place when you move into a new home, from organization tips to cleaning to affordable, resourceful, and fully personal DIY projects to make your new place feel like you. So stay tuned, give me any and all feedback, and thanks for reading!
